A Clinical Study of Magnetic Health Pad on Low Back Pain

Abstract

|
|
A clinical study for effectiveness of magnetic health pad on low back pain was carried out using double blind test. Sixty-two patients were included in this study from Dec. 1985 to July 1986.
In treated group with magnetic health pad, 14 patients of 23 patients (61 %) showed satisfactory result by patient assessment, but in control group only one patient among 16 patients (6%) showed some improvement.
There was a significant difference in result between two groups in statistical analysis (P<0.0=).
Age and sex had no any relationship with result of treatment:. In most effective cases low back pair improvement appeared within five days after the pad application, and there was no more new itnprovernent after two weeks of the pad application. Magnetic health pad improved limited lumbar spine motion. Only two patients experienced languidness during the pad application. No hematological and serological altertion was detected at the end of the pad treatment.
